I've never lived in a super snowy area like Buffalo but what I always think about is the melt that comes after a huge dump like you get. Is flooding a big issue this time of year? Here we don't get snowfalls like you get but the snow we do get doesn't melt much before spring.

Yes. While it always seems like more when you dont want it, just try to get enough (non yellow) snow in a pot to get enough water to boil hot dogs out at the ice fishing shack. Way more than u think.
