I did the Rustoleum satin black on my '06 Charger hood, looked good till a bird poo on it, then there was the hard water stains that would come out.
Cool, you know if you're gonna drive it, there's no need for a $10k paint job. Drive the wheels off it and care free not worrying about a rock chip.
Looks great but..... Without top coating it with something like a non gloss clear, the first time a bird poos on it, then what?? Or bug guts? The paint just isn't hard enough. Plus Rustoleum takes months to fully cure. I like the way it looks but I would of used a different paint.
The Japan Drier takes care of the curing problem and the products from www.drbeasleys.com cover the care. I use rustoleum on my fishing boats and bang them against the shore, floating wood, and the trailer without so much as a chip. It's all in how you apply it.
Great job!! I once painted a bike with rustoleum rattle can. Sanded it nicely, and applied clear coat. Looked great. Yes...it can be done. Car looks amazing.
that looks good. my81 is hot rod black kit you can buy from summit. went to orileys auto and bought matte clear coat about 25 bucks a quart took about 3 to do it, everything including bird crap just wipes right off no stains
