I went and bought one after I got.back. Its really only for vacation travel now.

Yeah they are nice to have on long road trips. Thats the main reason I outfitted my truck with this stuff. I do travel back roads every day to go to work and back and it is not uncommon to pass them hiding behind tree's and around bends and stuff. Thats how he got me this time and it was 6:15 in the morning when he got me.

Everybody should check out the waze app. People report cop sightings and other sightings while driving and the app warns you as you approach. Pretty sweet app.
The Waze app is great, it has saved me many tickets.

How? Passively? Or do you mean if/when they are walking around the car? The beauty of the ALP is the sensor size is so small. It's difficult to find on some installs even when you know it's there.

I would say if they radar you and they get a scrambled or no reading. That would put the cop in a worse mood than just speeding.

That is why it is programmed to disable after 4 seconds so you can slow down and then they can get a reading. You can adjust that time also. ;)

The ALP basically just creates an error code on the gun when they hit it. While they reshoot, you slow down. That's why you JTK and don't JTG. I am unaware of any passive method a cop could use to detect a laser jammer.

(Radar jamming is detectable, highly illegal, and is a felony if you get caught.)

on long trips I'll let a rabbit get ahead of me & ALMOST match his speed

if I'm driving alone I'm 7 over the limit max
