They do make a .22 Quiet ammo. The problem you could have is where the bullet would end up if you miss the squirrel

It's all about setting up your hide right. Shooting .22 quiet ammo from inside your house, through a slightly cracked open window makes all the difference in the world! ;)

I shoot subsonic .22 shells fairly often. My pellet rifle is louder than those subsonic rounds.

OP, it doesn't take a $200 pellet rifle to kill a squirrel. I've killed hundreds in my lifetime with this bb/pellet rifle. The secret is to pump it multiple times and use pointed pellets for penetration.

Pellet gun does the trick and mine is nearly silent.

Get a Piece of 4" ABS drain pipe and lean slightly against the wall so a little light can be seen from the top. Place a piece of dog food at the bottom where it meets the concrete. They go down and cannot get back up. You can do whatever you want to with them after you trap them.

My dad has been trapping and relocating the squirrels into a state forest off his property like 5 miles away.
He hasn't run out of squirrels to trap in the last 5 plus years of doing it.

You need feral cats. And hawks. Predators. They're on duty 24-7.....
