The oil pump is working fine I'm not sure what could have caused this other than not adjusting the valves like they should have. That's the main thing right there. I've drained the oil and too my surprise the metal build up is not as bad as the lifters make it look. When the guy did the heads he said he didn't see anything out off the ordinary with them. I have a guy that I'm going to take it to for the rebuild next spring. I'm not planning on driving it much during the winter anyway. Getting rid of the engine is not an option at this point since I brought it because it's a numbers matching car. If I'm told it's not worth rebuilding I'll have no choice at that point.
