Let me give you an example of what i was talking about with the battery and wires that go to it. Lets say you've got your main 'big' alternator wire running to your battery (some route it to the starter, but we'll assume the battery here). You'd remove the neg battery terminal, then remove the pos batt terminal. remove the alternator wire from the battery. reinstall the pos battery terminal. Now here's the important part. The last thing you'd do is reinstall the neg battery terminal. When you do this, and see spark, you've got draw and most likely found the culprit. If no spark, continue with any other remaining wires going to battery. hope that makes sense.

Turns out it was the ignition switch for 18.95 and about 2 hours if labor I figured it out. The ignition feels much tighter now. I had to drop the steering colume to do it which was way easier then I thought. I go t to enjoy a nice drive it it again last night and got this pic with a storm in the background.

thanks, that is helpful. I will start with these ideas and see what I find.

FYI, my alternator wire goes directly to the battery positive terminal. I have a separate wire going from the battery positive terminal to the starter. No other wires run through the starter.

sounds good, that should be the first thing anyone does when draw is at play.
