I had another trunk lid a few years back and it wasn’t flat either. This bow makes it so the trunk lid doesn’t sit very flush at all with the 1/4. What have y’all seen?

Both of my trunk lids are that way as well. There is also a bow to them from side to side along the rear of the trunk lid.

The bow is only on the pass side like mine? Mind you, this is after I gave it some 2x4 action....

I would like to see more pics then. I don’t think this is normal. None of my previous 2nd gens had such a bow. The trunk doesn’t even seal on that side.

worked on them when they were new make the outside fit 1/4's .to seal you will have to adjust the seal part of jamb, sounds crazy but if you can someboby inside when shut and find low areas. or what you can do with out seal installed is take clay balls and place on all perimeter points and go from there. what we used to do back in the day was to take masking paper and go around trunk lid when shut and adjust jamb as needed. if you take a piece of 2x4 and tap up from bottom of jamb ,take you time . good times o ye by the way this is a original 71 GM deck lid off different car that i bought and came to me with all edges bent to f! got part credited told guy i would pay ship because it was so clean i have probably 45 hr.s straightening it so that filler would be mostly primer

You fixed the bow? Mine doesn’t match the quarter on the passenger side like yours. I certainly would like to get another lid to see the results.

I had issues with the bow being different on multiple lids also. I picked the closest one to one I had
