Looking to buy a new M22 for my 70 Camaro and looking for the forums recommendations on the best place to buy from. Through research outside the forum I kinda have it narrowed down to either Midwest Muncie or 5speeds.com.

Anyone have any experience with either?

I believe that 5speeds has one of the best Muncie guys there is, and the most knowledgeable

Note though today’s made gears are not going to be as noisy as when GM had them made due to today’s modern machining.

    I second that.
I put his M22 in my 70 in 2016 and it has performed perfectly after repeated floggings...

Yeah, I checked with 5speeds yesterday. He's still having parts supply issues and isn't even taking orders for new builds right now.

That’s what I thought, gears from Italy. I was going to get one in November.

I have an original untouched (never rebuilt) 60's m22... it is the "rock crusher". Came out of a 396 Chevelle I'm pretty sure. 2.20 first gear and all the gear whine. It may be available, I am wanting a t56 in operating condition and might be able make a trade. I'm in western NC.
