I plan on taking out my 73 Z28s engine and dropping in a semibulit 406. Any suggestions on what radiator to use? They seem a lot more efficient today but I dont know what's best for my application. Thanks for y ok our replies.
Right now I have a 4 core copper brass big radiator in the Camaro, with a SBC it never goes over 170° but I have a new 2 row aluminum one to use this year. Just have to get a bung welded in it to drain the darn thing.
I am also using a 4 core radiator from a local radiator shop. Just do not use a radiator with tightly packed fins. Some call them a "NASCAR radiator". If you are not always traveling a high speeds, they do not work and a fan cannot pull adequate air through them at idle.
I actually used a HD aluminum radiator off of Ebay and worked great cooling my LS1 and 400hp 350 engine.
