I am going to be purchasing a new set of tires this spring. The TA's look great, had them years ago and rode well. However the issue with the white lettering turning brown plus the price difference of the Coopers, I am looking at them. However no experience with them as far as ride quality so wondering if any Cooper owners could give me a review on them. Also any recommendations of purchasing on line for example Tire Rack, etc. Thanks Dave

I've got a set of them on my car. They ride good and give me decent traction. The white letters are turning yellow but I can live with that.

I've never had BFG T/A's on my 1978 Z28 so can't comment regarding those. I put Cooper Cobras on my '78 Z28 back in 2019 and have been more than happy with them. The white lettering is still white and they seem to handle better and stick better than the Goodyear Eagles they replaced.

I’ve had/have BFG’s on my ‘87 Grand Nat’l and 70 Z28. If prices were not so inflated on the Firestone Wide Oval 60 radial here in Ontario Canada, I would have gone with them instead.

BF Goodrich replaced all 4 of my brown letter Radial T/As. Tire Rack.
These new ones are still white. I've cleaned them once.....in a year since
I would probably put the Mickey Thompson RWL tires on there next.

I’ve had the Cooper tires on my 71 for several years with no complaints. I can’t comment on the ride because the car is not a luxury car but handling is good and they look good but like above mentioned I have to scrub the white letters frequently 9DDAEBD9-AA32-420F-8F16-0DE8ABEC9027.jpeg

Here's mine. a picture I just took in the garage. I cleaned them the week before Thanksgiving.
I'm happy with them, but I also was talking to people in the past year that have the Cooper Cobras and have the " Never been white, and can't get white letters " ...that I had with the my previous set of Radial T/As. So it seems to me that it's NOT just a BF Goodrich issue. Just putting the info out there. That's why I say Mickey Thompsons next time I think.

Thanks for the insights. Didn't realize how much more expensive the TA's are than the Coopers. No matter where I look $750-$900 out the door everything included for the TA's.
