I have the 3/8" anvil version...20V XR impact

I use it with a pair of 5 AH batteries - they literally last forever

the thing is a BEAST - I like the smaller one (3/8) for easier access in engine bays etc

Thanks for the tip Dave! I picked it up Friday morning- first time I've gone BF shopping in 10+ years. They gave me 10% veterans discount on top of it.

I've needed a monster impact twice now, and looks like 2 more wheel bearings/axle nuts in the spring, and maybe a timing belt. If I don't use it much after that, I won't lose much unloading it, that's for sure.

I've DeWalt Impact And Drill - Great Stuff, their batteries keep a Charge a long time.

I just bought my Son a Combo Kit from HD for Christmas

Arrived today, haven't used it yet looks like a beast.
It's the Dewalt or the Milwaukee that seem to be the two big dogs in this area, with the edge to the Milwaukee. But I only need good enough, and I think the Dewalt will get done what I need to do. I'm starting to run short of the steam needed to use these tools on a regular basis...
I had to explain this to my Dad (74yo) last year. He wanted a new chainsaw just for general yard cleanup and thinning out some fallen pines up the hill behind their house. I finally talked him into the Ego 14" battery saw. He went on and on about the fact that the little 2.5aH battery would only do 50 8" log cuts before needing a recharge. Finally I said, "Dad, how big is YOUR battery these days?" He grumbled away.
And he puts the saw down for a break before the "little" battery runs out lol.
