I have 77 Z28. Need correct black paint for window molding, blacked trimmed area around wheel wells, rear tail light panel, front headlight trim and dimmer lights etc. Is it 18U Black Low Gloss?

I have seen the SEM trim paint that matches the sheen on Camaro moldings.
You can pick it up at NAPA or similar places, rattle can or quarts.

    Hope this helps, enjoy

SEM Trim paint (satin black) is a pretty good match.

It's a very good quality paint too.

Heres a pic of the 77 gm page of my PPG color book. It lists the low gloss black code 19 ppg # and what it was used on.[IMG]

Wow. Lots of good info. Will check out the SEM trim paint. 77 PPG color page was revised on 5/77. My Z was already off the Norwood assembly line by April. It's a shame it does not specifically identify Z28 trim color. The rally sport low gloss black #19 might very well be the color though. I will give it a test shot. Thanks all!

I used SEM trim for highly visible, smooth or small parts. I used a lot more Rustoleum Satin black (Home Depot) for most larger, undercar, mechanical parts. The SEM goes on very smoothly with a consistent sheen. The Rustoleum is VERY close to the sheen of the SEM, has 90% the consistency of gloss and is tough as nails (2-3 light coats). For my car, about 2 1/2 cans of SEM, and about 10 cans of Rustoleum.

Edit: For all the parts mentioned in the OP, I would use the SEM.
