Body bushings metal vs polyurethane?

    I might have screwed this up years ago, but so far I have zero issues. Poly bushings with bolted in, then welded connectors
    If I jack one front corner of the car up high enough, my door will bind a little

    ^ they just have a little give. Given how these cars are treated these days, will probably last a lifetime

    I had poly mounts in my car for 18 years. When I swapped them for solid everyone of them was crushed/distorted.

    Interesting. I didn't consider the longevity between the two.

    I had aluminum bushings on an '81 back in the day, no issues with them. They were made in different heights (possibly Herb Adams VSE) they lowered the nose of the car, pretty cool. I now have two cars with Energy Suspension Urethane, but have no miles on either car to determine whether they'll squeak. They were installed with the grease, so I expect no issues.
