ANyone know how I can adjust my shift points on my 4L60e? It does not want to up shift into 3rd when I'm cruising about 30mph...brand new transmission BTW..

Programing issue. It's adjusted through the obd2 port in your ecm. Should be able to program shift points and firmness of shifts

I'm not computer savvy .but alot of people use hp tuners. Don't know how deep your pockets are. But it's expensive. There is a tuner on the camaro5 forum that you can send your specs and ecm to h8m by mail and he can set up a tune for you. His name is Steve. Read in the tuning section of that forum. Lots of information about tuning and people that are very knowledgeable

OK, guys and gals, I need some help. I called a local tuning shop to help me program my shift points on my 4l60e and they quoted me $700 for a dyne session. I told them that I do not need a dyno session. Am I wrong? Is this how its done? it seems pricey to me just to get my transmission to shift normally into 3rd gear...

Find another dyno shop .700.00 bucks is sticking it to you should be about half that for 2 dyno pulls. It's been a while but I think you do have to simulate driving. If you have time Google gwantey motor sports . Look on camaro5 forum or ls1 tech forum in the tuning section. Call one of the vendors. Who cares if they are in another part of the country. Most will give you a straight answer there is a guy named dyno Steve in those forums. You can send him your pcm and he can program your parameters. Hundreds of people have sent their controllers with no complaints.
