This morning I had both rear rotors replaced and new Wagner TQ pads installed for a total cost of $169.00. The rotors had an Auto Xtra ProStop label. Does that price seem reasonable to you?
The brake work was done on my daily driver which is a Toyota Tundra truck.Depending on the car it seems cheap to me.
I thought it was reasonable but it has been so long since I had any brake work done on a daily driver that I can't remember what I paid. It’s not bad
The $169 was the total price. That price included everything (parts, labor, tax, shop supplies, tree - hugger fees etc.).About $35 for the Wagner ThermoQuiet ceramic pads and $80 for the pair of rotors.
$169 seems like a very good price if it included those parts, labor, tax, shop supplies, tree-hugger fees etc...
I had the brake work performed at a tire and appliance store owned by a man I went to school with since we were in 9th grade. His wife and I have been friends since 1st grade. I think this is why I get reasonable prices from him on tires and appliances.$169 for pads and rotors?, that's cheap. Up here in the Twin Cities you will pay almost $350 for that at most shops. A std. brake job at the Hyundai shop I worked at is over $285. I used to do them at home all the time for $250, had more work than I could handle.
