Brakes are sponge on a 76 camaro need help

All of the above plus,if you let the master run dry,you could have the dreaded trapped air bubble upfront.I never bench bleed any of my masters when new,always jacking the rear of the vehicle up until the master is tilted a little the other way,then gravity bleed.
