I have a question for you experts...
What years were the aluminum spacers used on front lower controls?
I have had a few 80 camaro's in the past but none of them had those spacers.
The camaro i have now has them but i won't be reusing the due to my lowered suspension.

PN stamped on the rubber is 352888 and FO 174

The Z28 had the spacers. Other Camaros didn't get them. The early Second Gen Z28s had thicker spacers than the later models did.

I just did the ones on my 79. It had no bump stops anywhere on the front end. The ones I ordered came with just the rubber, not the metal. Berlinetta model, but nodoby asked when I ordered the parts either.

a friend has an 79 Z28 and the spacers were noticeably thinner than my '71 . I think around a 1/4" difference

Why do the Z28s get the spacers? Why reduce the Z28s suspension travel by that extra amount?

The Z28's came with 15" tires

Limiting suspension travel limits body roll on corners. Z28s were intended to handle better than other Camaros. The larger tires allowed the Z28 to push the suspension harder so the spacers added control.
