The black sunvisor latch showed up. It's 3D printed. The listing for it on eBay did not disclose that. So it's not semi-soft like the vinyl original part. It's hard plastic. I don't know yet if the little boot ends for the sunvisor rods are going to fit properly. Estimated ETA for the correct visors (hopefully the visors fit this time) is May '23.

You might want to consider painting the original ones. I used SEM Color Coat 15013 Landau Black on several interior pieces. It is made for that. See description below.https://www.semproducts.com/product/color-coattm-aerosols/15013

Color Coat is a specialty flexible coating formulated to restore or change the color of most vinyl surfaces, flexible and rigid plastics, carpet and velour. Color Coat is not a dye, but a fade resistant flexible and permanent coating.

I'm definitely considering painting the original ones. Thanks for the tip for what to use.

I just followed up with the engine builder. Ugh. The tech that was doing my project took a position with another company (read: he gave notice and quit) and now they're down to just one engine builder. At first, they thought the crank, which had a scratch in one of the main journals, could be polished and not have to be turned. But the guy who is going to be assembling it now wasn't comfortable with that, so they sent it out to another machine shop. Chuck's doesn't turn cranks. So now they're saying 2 to 3 more weeks.

I'm completely aware that this car, this project, is really a life lesson in growing patience, and a character building opportunity. Trust me, I never pray for patience.
