Went to look at this car today, spent a good amount of time in the phone with the guy before going.
Get there, no cowl tag, frame rails are rusted and a lot of other things wrong with the car. For the price, it should be a solid car.

Yup, until you see it in person.. Frustrating when you ask the questions and you're told it's in "great shape".
Drove an hour each way to look at it..

Wow that sucks about the rust. The car externally shows very well.

Yea, it looks spotless in the pictures. Its sad how sellers almost always BS buyers.

An hour each way is a small price to pay. Hey, the guy lied. How many people buy cars like this unseen. I've seen guys who bought cars based on photos that were years old. Be happy you had the sense to go and look. Think of it as a small investment.....and you saved a lot of money.

Mint has a different meaning to everyone. If you asked if there’s any rust and where, then he should have told you. He’s obviously too stupid to own a car and maybe is the reason it’s for sale.

So basically it's lip stick on a pig! When you say frame rail rust would that be rear or front?

Very odd being a 1973 and it has a very early 1970 ONLY driver side inner fender. I wonder if its actually a 70. Im starting to get frustrated with sellers too. I don't understand why they can't be honest and truthful. Seems the objective is to sell something and don't care if they deceive you. Im looking for body panels and I always ask about rust, dents and dings....its always worse than they say and the cop out excuse is "For its age"..."it is 50 years old"....come one! Don't let me drive 2-3 hours to look and something you know darn well I would have passed on! Anyone who works on these old cars knows what I'm talking about.

It was the rear, both sides.
Found out he's a small time classic car dealer. He knew it was there and played dumb.
