Yeah, I think you are right on target with the rims. I know the exact thread you are talking about, too.

The decals were never high gloss, if my memory serves me correctly. They were always "satin" in finish, but yeah, they do fade over time. Mine (original) is starting to look quite tired.

Pretty car. Align the drivers headlight insert. Looks cocked to the side a bit. I find the single best any seller can do and the best return on investment is detailing. Set the weekened aside and go through everything. Go over, behind and under everything. Polish the chrome, clean the aluminum, wax the paint, go over every surface and make it look better.

    We're getting closer :)

    Thanks.

I believe they were made by a company called 'Eclipse'. I have a spare set - just in case anything breaks :) I bought this set from a board member in the Swapmeet section. My backup set was purchased on Craigslist.

Wow, good eye. I'll look at that. I'm actually excited to buff this car out - I've never taken the time to really detail it and I think it should clean up well.

I would at least investigate cleaning up the rims. Those tires are well over 20 years old, I'd limit any driving on them.

I like it, reminds me of that 81 I had. Not a z and no t-tops but I had the crager SS rims and the louvers.

Be careful how much detailing you do... you might like the results so much you decide to keep the car!
