    That is something I should have done, but never remembered to plan!!!
    My machinist does some of those engines, he has some 300 & 400 MPH runs he built.
    Of course those customers are no ?? asked guys, you need what, go buy 2 kind of guys!!!

    I can imagine doing that, but I don't think they allow bicycles.

    Definite speed freak. I think he died in a high speed boat run. There's old boat racers and there's bold boat racers but no old, bold boat racers.

    Can't imagine the gyro forces of those huge wheels at 275.

    It was his son (Donald) that died in a boat record attempt. Thanks for the link, gave me something to do in work this morning. Very interesting stuff. These guys were all nuts!

    They think we are nuts now a days running 213 MPH in my car, in those days, they were certifiable!!!!!!!!!

    1933 Bluebird 2500hp engine, 272.108mph
    that just blows my mind they had engines with that much hp and the car looks like either a locomotive or the very first batmobile
