Canada - Danish border war

I'm not sure how many are aware but Canada and Denmark have been involved in a border 'war' for the last 49 years. It's been the subject of a meme that has gone around a few times.

Apparently, the dispute has now been settled, with both countries agreeing to split the island in half so now Canada has a land border with two countries!!
