Well this is a start i would start chasing down the cheap obvious. swap a plug wire any change with the timing light?, pull the plug check to see if it is fouled, pull the dist cap see if there are issues there "have seen a cracked cap cause havoc on how an engine runs". As to a dead cylinder i personally have not seen any backfire issues even on my current car had number 7 plug wire come loose there was a bit more shaking to the engine and when you got on it it blew out some gray smoke.

The fuel spitting up thing.......check your fuel pressure. If it's really high its going to push fuel right past everything inside your carb. Keep it simple.

It's coming out of the carb on the driver side bank, and I put in new plugs. Check the cap and rotor and the wiring

Well I check the springs and rockers again and everything looked fine. It's got like a air clicking noise coming out of the carb on idle but it revs fine and it still pops has out of the carb when you rev it up
