    Guys,

Carlisle was great this year. No rain, kinda hot, but the best turnout of 2gens I have seen in a long, long time (like ever).

I met up with jb, Rick Kennedy, Patgizz, Frank & Sue Abruzzi, and 1981Paul (or is it Paul81, anyway the guy with the Elvis sideburns who still has his Camaro, not the guy with the Mopar right now). Missed Roger (Camaro70), but someone told me he was still around.

Anyway, let's start with the single best 2gen I have ever seen in person (until I see BobR's car in person this car is likely to keep that distinction). This is a perfect 1970 Z28. The car was for sale for $33,400 asking price. I know it sold to a dealer, for exactly how much I don't know. Trust me, the pictures do not do this car justice:

The next most interesting car I saw there was a mint '70 RS/SS 396. Except for the vinyl roof, it was among the most desirable 2gens I have ever seen. The car is really red, the digital camera picked it up as more orange than it looked in person.

Next, we have a '71 with Motion stripe scheme. Paint had about 10% too much metallic in it for my taste, but was awesome car all and all:

Next, we have out own Frank & Sue Abruzzi's '79 Z28. New wheels this year and re-painted fenders were notable. Frank also helped me stay cool on the way home by diagnosing (in about half a second) the buzzing sound in my air conditioner fan switch (bad ground).

Continuing with the "black is beautiful theme", here is a factory paint '79Z that looked sharp. Is it just me, or are black and white the two best colors on a '79?

Yellow next. Enough can not be said about the '77 Z28 shown here. Over 82,000 miles on the clock before a PERFECT resto. Awesome. The '74 was real nice too. 47,000 miles, all original except for one paint job.
