Hey guys thanks for the input. I will not be buying that engine. Thank you Twisted for pointing out how much of a PIA the acc holes would be. I'm just looking for the cheapest one I can find that will start up. Its not for cruising or anything. I just want this 75 camaro to be able to move on its own. Im working a 78 right now so the 75 is on the back burner for a undetermined amount of time. Plus maybe my wife will quit referring to it as the "half car" if it could move on its own. But yeah im just tired of pushing it around every time i need to move it. I dont care if its got 200 hp or 5hp as long as the car can move around on its own. That's my only goal when I say cheap engine. I just want to drive it from inside of the garage to around the back of the garage and back inside the garage when I'm done needing the extra space.

Maybe i just need to get a garden tractor or something to pull it around with. I see those in the $200 to $300 price range on Fb.

Years ago a friend of mine had an old S10 pickup that was pretty decent with a blown 4 banger. He bought an old Impala for $500 and put the whole drivetrain in the pickup. Took some welding etc. but he had a nice driver for years, with some performance to boot. Might look around Craigslist or Marketplace for a cheap beater, scrap the leftovers and recoup most of the cost?

If you knew the engine's history it would be better, but yeah, drilling the accessory holes can be sketchy.
For contrast,I sold the 283 out of my 67 chevelle about 4 years ago for 400 dollars.62K original miles on it,didnt smoke, knock,or ping.
Guy needed it for his chevelle resto.Small blocks weren't stamped with a vin back then, just the BBs,so it was perfect for his 67.
Was a good strong motor for what it was.Did not like the giant can in the lifter valley, lol.Had a clearance issue when I put a dual plane on it.
Also had to put the lead additive in it every gas fill up.

Made a deal with a guy to get a supposedly great running 305 that he pulled out of a 84 c10 to do a LS swap. Complete engine minus carb for $250. He had it listed for $300 I texted him and said that I only have $200 in my toy piggy bank. He said $250 I can get it. Picking it up Saturday. Now I need to find a cheap carb that will work and a driveshaft. Heck I might just put it in the 78 camaro just to get her back on the road asap if the engine actually does run really well.
