Maybe it is a kit for a first gen and that is why it had first gen instructions?
Possible? I'm not sure if the leaf spring pockets are the same between the first and second generation though. If it is, could be something I need to look into further.
Mine is really close to 29.5"

Cold comfort for change, but I got Global West subframe connectors and they fit perfectly. I'm so sorry you're having to go through this. Such bull$h!+.
I would have gotten globelwest subframe connectors if I stuck with leaf springs, but I went down the rabbithole

Did they fire everyone or something? I've been to their location, it's massive, where is the R&D done if it's not HQ?
I don't really want you to work on my car, I just want you to look at it and take proper measurements.

Either way, I'm asking for more measurements from them to confirm what I have, I doubt they'll send me pictures of the cad files

I keep going in circles with these people
why are they so adamant it's something to do with the front subframe even though it doesn't affect this install at all, I don't get it.

Besides, the variation in our subframe is to do with the different bushings and control arm bolts, the only other thing was in 74 they extended the subframe a little bit past the subframe bushing, but you can just cut that off, it has nothing to do with the geometry of the car.

Looking at your pics, for the rear end to sit in the wheel wells that far back looks like the main TQ is 6” to long, or the trans x member to far rearwards.

Not that it matters, but I treat every “custom made race part” the same, assume it looks ok, and it does kit fit, have the cutoff wheels/plasma and MIG at the ready.

I went down that same bunny hole when building my 72 Z’ed, 3-4 links, Air Ride, truck arm and TQ arm,,,,in the end l,
After all
My research, and for what I wanted and was going to do with it, I stayed with Leafs.

I hope you get this sorted out, CA has been around a long time. I use there dbl adj Vari Shocks. I’m sure they can get you straightened up.

Cheers.

I am no stranger to modifying my car with a mig and cutoff wheel haha but there is a certain level where you expect things to fit relatively close to where it should be, this is way too far off to be a variation issue.

Especially when you consider the fact the 2nd gen Camaro is the only kit that is mostly bolt on, all the other kits they have use weld in cross members. So this has to fit per their own measurements as I'm not modifying anything of the sort.

Ok, understood. There has to be something that is off for it to be out to lunch so to speak.

QC has taken a hit in so many industries!!! No one is exempt.

You have a good amount of $$ tied up in that rear setup, and with CAC, I’m sure they will make things right or at least provide insight and the corrective path and measures that need to be taken.

Good luck SPG, keep us posted.

I'm really disappointed to see this. CA Chassisworks was one of the dependable companies. Their early Nova stuff was the standard.
