Is there anyone here who would be interested in a set of 70-73/(or other years) clear tail lights or 70-77/ 78-81 side marker lights?

I need to cast a set of clear cab lights(all that is available is amber) for a '72 C10 Cheyenne that is running all clear lenses and I came to the realization that no one makes clear lenses for 2nd Gen Camaros.

I will have molds made for the C10 soon and can show the new clear lenses vs the original amber lenses. If anyone would like to even entertain the idea of seeing a set of clear tail light or side marker lenses give me a shout and I will make up a lens or two and we can go from there.

I am talking about making molds of the original lights and reproducing exact duplicates in clear. Up to and including the guide markings. These lights would fit exactly as stock and utilize all of the stock gaskets. You could either use colored bulbs or LED bulbs.

I only have parts to take molds from that fit 70-73's. If you would like to see a part cast in clear for any other year I will need some one to donate a usable part to take molds off of.

I kindly ask that anyone who is not interested share their opinions with me in a PM so that I might better understand all aspects of what people are/aren't looking for.

There was a member here who made some clear side markers out of flourescent light covers. They actually looked pretty cool. (I think he used a blue bulb inside.)

The only real issue he had was that they were (of course) flat, and not molded into the shape of the bezel. If they were molded so that they sealed properly, you'd probably get some interest.

I would like to see clear lens for the side markers for the 78-81 instead of using office light stuff.

I could see how much a pair of side markers are for 78-81, I'm already having something else in plan for the 78-81 I'm trying to donate for so while I'm out there at the grave yard I can check if no one donates a pair.

i believe if you run a clear lens you have to run a red or amber bulb to comply with all 50 safety inspection
