A long overdue update. I finally got all of the mold compound so here is a minor update. Still trying to work out a few kinks.

And here is where the problems started. I ordered rubber to rubber mold release and they sent me a different product. Never having used this product before I assumed that the product received was a substitute for what I ordered. As you can see from the mold its a solid block of silicone rubber now. You can barely see where the parting line is supposed to be so I used an extremely sharp knife to part the mold:

Here is what the mold looks like once I finally got it apart:

I talked to the company. They have amazing customer service. They are sending replacement mold compound as well as sending the correct rubber to rubber release compound that I had originally ordered..

Now I am playing around with the resin compounds trying to get a mold to cure and release properly. The black dye I have is super concentrated I need to get another container to separate the Part A compound in order to properly dilute the black dye. The goal is to be able to make smoke colored lenses right now thought with 1 drop of dye I have black lenses. Way too dark...

On other news I have the tail light housings partially modified.

I am working on it as quickly as I can... I will definitely be letting everyone know when lenses are available. In the meantime I continue to thank everyone for their patience, input and most importantly their continued interest.

WOW!!! Thanks for the amazing compliment

I tell y'all what, I am in the middle of something else but I will run to the storage unit tonight and grab a set of markers and start casting them. Once I know exact resin volumes I will be able to give a quote. How's that sound?

It may be illegal in some areas due to a constant white light. Front signal lights only are clear on some new models today.

You can put amber bulbs or the chrome bulbs that flash amber in them and be just fine.

Remember I was one of the guys who started calling you King poo. Actually I was following your original build thread. I bought my Lincoln 180 power mig because I saw the welds yours laid. Not that I'm ass kissing, just liked the welds and the price difference form the Miller was enough to sway me away.

I havent jumped on the I want a set of lights yet because I want to see how they turn out. I work in molding so I'm thinking I could make my own molds and I know how to vent them so I dont get pockets of air trapped.

    Clear taillights are highly illegal.
Feloniously illegal because of bad taste and "Tuneritous" that it displays.
