Yes! 31-9,...crushed 'em. Amazing,...
Glad to hear everyone seems to be doing well! The forum stopped giving me alerts when someone posts here for some reason.
Crazy weather. 50s and almost 60 in February last week, then 12 this morning. Awfully dry winter, but I'm not hoping for a lot of snow. Makes my commute hell. The last snow left me caught in two different accident-related traffic jams (one in Longmont, one in LaSalle) and added an hour and a half to my drive. And there was hardly any snow on the roads! Just glad I don't use I-25 - missed that one.
Not much, but it's snowing (without any forecast chance) again! Got trace yesterday, about a 1/2", so far today. More coming Sat/Sun,...'significant' snow is forecast. Nasty cold, too.
Like, Jerry, I'm glad to see that everyone is doing OK. Stay safe and warm! Drive carefully,...
cold front hit last night real cold the next couple of days, everyone stay warm.
Ya decided to take a brisk walk today, mistake when walking north and east against that wind chill...brain freeze more so than usual...
Nasty cold, up here! Sat/Sun's temps are going to be brutal,...perhaps the snow, that we're supposed to get, will insulate some.
Not good Camaro weather to be sure. I'd be glad to get whatever moisture we can though.
-7 now,...Oh crap! Tomorrow's high/low temps!!
Hunker down, all!!
I hope these low temps kill off some of those damned pine beetles up in the mountains.
Needs to be pretty extreme cold in mountain pine beetle country this time of year. Sustained 30 below for 5 days would do the trick. Spruce beetle has been tough lately as well, and they have ways of getting through the extreme temps as well. We need to manage our forests where we can, across boundaries, to help mitigate the problems with insect epidemics and wildfire risk.
