    Composite monoleaf springs

I bought these from Keith at Custom Works a year ago now. Only got them installed earlier this fall. Springs have maybe 200 miles on them in all honesty. Spring rate is 220 lb. Ride is firm but not harsh so long as you have a competent shock to match the springs. They were quiet and are lightweight. I was very happy with them but they do not lower the car which is why I have already swapped them out. If you have the Herb Adams mod completed, you'll need to be careful that the bolts that hold the eyelets to the spring do not rub on the front spring mount. You'll get a horrible squeaking noise otherwise.

Asking $450 and I'm open to offers as I don't need these at all any more.

    Thanks

Lots of views but no replies. Am I asking too much? Spring rate too high? I have no use for these so they are just sitting around collecting dust.

    Thanks

Well, I'm using composite leafs on 2 cars and I love them.

They are 175lb. They work great, I wouldn't want any stiffer, but that's just me. Mine are street cars 99% of the time.

I've had mine for about 17 years and they are still going strong.

I hear and read a lot about breakage.

Maybe that is a deal killer for you?

Your price seems a little steep, but not crazy high.

    Good luck with the sale.

These aren't the VB&P springs that were prone to breakage. I forgot to mention that I got these from Keith at Custom Works. Breakage was one of the first things I had asked him about as well.

These are $325 each new. If I'm still asking too much, then I understand. I'm just listing the new price for comparison.

Thanks for the response. I appreciate the feedback.

Cool, yeah, mine are the old VBP springs.

What was the height from wheel center to bottom of fender lip?

I don't remember off hand. I can measure the current springs and give you a good estimate since the current springs didn't lower the car either. I'm having them dearched soon to correct that. Pictures of the composite springs installed are in my build thread, post #179

    Thanks

Thanks. Yeah, I can already tell that sits up quite a bit higher than my car. Bummer....
