Or going airborne at 180 mph ala Newman or Edwards. The landing would have to hurt.that would leave a bruise but a better video would have been another car hitting that thing at 130 after the 1st car came to a stop. jim

If im not mistaken, a 1" impact like they tried, has like 2000 ft lbs of torque. that thing was on there.You mean the new tech isn't a permanent lug nut?

Less than what you would think. It was the equivalent to a glancing blow, approximately at a 25 degree angle. That would significantly cut down on the Delta V, or change in velocity, which, when combined with some fancy math, can be converted to G-Force. Very survivable crash, even in a regular vehicle. The Delta V was probably around 30 mph change. Definitely would feel it later that night.
