Try to give some leeway and guys continue to run too far with it. Zero politics from here on. Consider it a warning.

I got a bad habit of calling it as I see it but I'll keep it in check.

That's interesting for sure. I wonder how available that treatment is though everywhere else. It sounds like it is not readily available so may not be able to help too many patients but everyone saved is definitely a bonus!

I suspect you're right it is a rare machine/procedure. I was wondering if it was possible. When my father in law had the heart attack 20+ years ago they had a machine to pump his blood until the heart came back online after surgery. When reading about how this crap kills you I wondered if they could oxygenate the blood in the same way. You would think something like this would already be needed for some surgeries.

I know they've had machines to pump blood for many years during surgeries, this sounds like an improvement/update so hopefully getting more and more common. The downside right now is it is probably very expensive when available.

Sounds pretty simple when you think about it. Over-thinkers missing the obvious?

    https://www.zdnet.com/article/nyu-s...le-biggest-factor-in-new-york-critical-cases/

"Now, one of the largest studies conducted of COVID-19 infection in the US has found that obesity of patients was the single biggest factor, after age, in whether those with COVID-19 had to be admitted to a hospital. "

""The chronic condition with the strongest association with critical illness was obesity, with a substantially higher odds ratio than any cardiovascular or pulmonary disease," write lead author Christopher M. Petrilli of the NYU Grossman School and colleagues in a paper,"

I’ll put the tinfoil hat back on for a moment -
Wow this “virus” sure seems to be geared towards leaving a leaner population behind wiTh the gov owing a lot less in ssi and ssi disability benefits to be payed out. No wonder they we so quick to issue “stimulus” checks.

    Ok tinfoil hat back off.

So it goes after the fat and old? F me how many of us are screwed? Lol
