Is door crank handle part number 20322800 correct for a 74 Z28 standard interior door panel? Or is 9717838? I am looking for a very nice used pair.
Thanks,
George

George, 20322800 & 9717838 are the same thing. The 20322800 is a later version part number but visually looks the same. What's even more confusing (at least to me) is that those 2 part numbers on the back of the handle will actually have a different part number when you buy them new in the package.
GM part number 20037597 is on the box while the back of the handle will have number 20322800

70 SS/L78, I located last night while searching online about the part numbers on the handle being different than what is on the box that they come in. Thanks for the post. Now, I know which original handles to purchase.

GM should never have got into changing up part #'s. Only if it was used on a Pontiac let's say and then the Camaro starts to use it cause it's the same part.

Isn't the part number on the box the actual assembly number.... the arm has its own part number "without the knob" which is what confuses folks?

My book says the 20037597 is correct part number for 77 -81 F body. According to post 13 veteran member 70SS/L78, casting number 20322800 is visually the same as 9717838 I don’t have a 20322800 to compare but I do have a 9717838 handle that I believe came of a 1981 Camaro from a reliable source .
