with a power antenna ex GM or did it have to an 'aftermarket' model. In my trunk on the passenger side, I have an Audiovox Corp MA-28A unit.

    Thanks in advance!!

I have the Canadian 1981 Camaro order guide.
Yes RPO code U75 power antenna could be ordered. It was included AT NO CHARGE when you ordered an AM-FM-CB RADIO.

I thought the power antennas were mounted on the front fender.

My friend's power antenna was mounted on the driver's side front fender. I thought that was weird and distracting. He said it was probably because of the blower motor?

Front right fender is where the OE antenna was located.

If they're on the front, that's where they're almost always installed, and it makes good sense. His was on the driver's side. Maybe dealer installed. His wife bought the car new in 1980. Maybe it was just me, but I found it distracting driving the car.
