Let's list the businesses that aren't reopening due to covid 19 closures.
I know some were in financial trouble prior to this but the state closure was the death knell.
One's I know of here in Las Vegas/Henderson NV

    Sweet Tomatoes restaurants
    Miller's Ale House restaurants
    JC Penny's
    Pier 1

I hear rumors that Pep Boy's is closing the retail and commercial sides of the business.

I think Pep Boys was hedging that way anyhow with their purchase and rebranding of all the independant repair shops. JC Penny has been in big trouble for years.

Pier 1 was going down before China virus and had GOB sale going on with the ones near me.
Miller’s is only been around this area for maybe 4-5 years, if I remember correctly Dick Portillo owns the chain (of Portillos hotdog restaurant).

I think it just made it easier to justify.

JC Penney, Pier 1, and Pep Boys... Hertz is getting ready to join their ranks
Frankly, all of those businesses have been dead-men-walking for years.

In my area we have lost one BBQ chain with 3 diners, same as most, JC Penny, Pier 1, and Pep Boys transitioned over to tires etc. We have lost several small diners that we frequented often. So far, with more to come I assume, the hardest hit is this area has lost one of our big gambling boats. Whether you`re for or against gambling it`s still about 900 jobs that are lost and will be hard to replace.

Pep boys was already doing that. Their new locations around here are service only.

The ruby tuesday restaurant chain around here is closing locations.

Modells sporting goods was already closing before this started.

Jc penny is going to close locations as part of bankruptcy reorg.

I think a lot of mom and pop places won't make it. especially the ones by the beach that rely on seasonal business

I read today if 75% of lost jobs come back we'll still have historically high unemployment. Gonna be a lot of losses... and new opportunities.

We aren't even going to hint at politics on this stuff this time around folks. Lot's of other forums for that.

    Gamestop is going to disappear
they were already about to file for bankruptcy, but their bad policies and not changing with the times will make them join blockbuster.
Refusing to close at the start of all of this and having the police forcibly shut them down also isn't a good image.
