I'm going through my 2nd bout with it right now. Started feeling it yesterday and then tested positive.

Probably get some paxlovid like last time. It seems to work in reducing severity if taken early enough.

We haven't had it yet in our house, but we still wear masks whenever we are out in public. I believe that masks do far more to protect you than the vaccine does. My Wife is alergic to the vaccine.

Take care of yourself and hope you get past it fast.

Hope you get better soon. I had the covid last Oct. after going to a wedding, it hit me 2 days later just like you, a nasty sore throat that got a lot worse never did get a fever though. Got tested and it was indeed the covid. Was better after a week but took a month for it all to go away, my wife got it also but not as bad as I did.

Fair expectations... you're going to feel 'slow' for awhile, maybe a couple of months. COVID is a different bird.

Hopefully the OP is feeling better... I started feeling a little better yesterday so I put off the paxlovid (you still feel under the weather, but you get that feeling that you've turned the corner).

I guess it must be some amount of natural immunity from my last bout (around July of last year).

I got it twice, but honestly think I had it 3 times. I got pretty sick right before it was declared a pandemic and they started testing. Then tested positive later that year. Then got last year after my daughter got it. The big thing for me was is just getting winded a lot easier now.
