What have members done when using a cowl hood and you have the trim on top of the doors and the corners of the front fenders? Is there anything available for cowl hoods trim in the rear? I have a 2 inch cowl hood I am using
I was just going to cut and taper them at the vertical on the raised part of the hood. The part I think that looks bad is the trim on the fenders and doors, and not continuing on the rear of the hood. Not sure if the Chevelle cowl is the same configuration or height as the A/M Camaro cowl hood. You will need to make one, might be able to use parts of a Camaro flat hood and pieces of a Chevelle cowl hood molding. Kind of surprised that the hood importer didn't consider that when the made the hood. I haven't tried for my car yet as I was going to go back to the flat hood when I can get around to reskinning or replacing my original hood (someone cut a big hole in it at one time in its life). I never liked the rip down the center and I have the stock low-rise intake on the car so don't need the room. Also what do people do about the windshield washer nozzles?

Try a search on that a member posted a solution to that here. Used some black plastic and fastened to the cowl plastic grill cover and looked very presentable. You will need to make one, might be able to use parts of a Camaro flat hood and pieces of a Chevelle cowl hood molding. That was my plan that I tried to explain in post # 4. lol. The part that bothers me most is it ends abruptly at the front of the door. Looks unfinished. Would you have a pic of how that came out Mike? What i did was cut the molding in 2. used each side between the scoop
