Crossed Flags oil cap size.

    Hey, can anyone tell me the diameter for the Crossed Flags oil cap/plug?

    Not sure about the diameter, but the crossed flags wasn't a cap or plug but just a emblem that was stuck to a cast-over location on the valve cover. There was no hole in the cover, just a flat area for the emblem.

    Most years those covers used the standard size twist in oil cap that is used on the sheet metal valve covers used commonly on Chevy engines. However, around 1971-72, the covers were different and used a push in rubber plug.

    The one on my 1971 Z28 is exactly 2 1/8" in diameter.

    Thanks. I was having a custom push in cap made and was waning to use that logo.
