I saw theirs and its brushed aluminum with black lettering, the original one in the car seems to be darker than theirs.

Berlinetta got brushed aluminum bezel inlays, the Z28s got aluminum inlays which were a dark color.
(I think they were anodized, it isn't paint.)

I haven't seen repops for the Z28 inlays yet.

I tried that, with less than satisfactory results. There's really nothing out there in the way of paint that will look right that I know of. Then there's the issue of painting around the letters, if you want to save them. It just doesn't look right.

I ended up finding a very nice one on Ebay. It needed the chrome touched up all the way around the edges, which I did with a Testors Argent (Silver) model paint pen, which you can get at Hobby Lobby or Michaels. The dark brushed aluminum inserts only have a couple of small spots that are scratched. I lucked out! I'd say if you can find a nice one to replace yours, that would be the way to go, at least until there's a repro available. Hint, hint, OER! ;)

I think what he wants is the factory look. Venom's is a custom bezel.
