3932386 is a 1969 engine. There is another number stamped on the front pad of the block. It should identify what application that engine was used for. If you look up that number and post it, we should be able to tell you more.
No other number near the V one. I''ll add a photo in a min. If you mean in another area I'll try to get photos but it'll take a few days as its locked up in his storage/garage area. And once the oil pan is off I understand that will lend more information with more markings.

There should also be a partial VIN near the WN stamping, but maybe they missed putting it on there. It is also possible that that VIN number could be down by the oil filter like Norwood did on some of their engines.
Either way, the WN says it is a 255hp/350 from a pickup either 1/2 ton or 3/4 ton from 1969.

Awesome, thank you Gary. Once he gets to that point with the pan and the filter (its an old can shaped one) I'll add what we find. What you have determined is already very helpful!

I am new to this and I'm probably not posting right but hopefully someone sees this and can help me out with some info. I'm trying to identify a GM 3970010 motor with what looks like c6f
104462 V08211YZ stamp on the front. Might anyone have any info on this motor

A new thread might make the most sense rather than dredging this up.

Well I have it in a 76 1/2 4x4 but took it out of a blazer I believe was a 75, 76 although the person I bought the blazer from said it was a crate motor they ordered from GM but that should be the right code. Do you happen to know the specs on that code and thank you for that info

TYZ was your basic low compression smog era 350 with 4bbl rated at 165hp. It could also be from a 1975 Blazer as they used the same codes as pickups.
