Well, this was the 1994 Z28 donor car that gave up its LT1 and 4L60E for the '71. The '94 Camaro's life ended in late December, but I decided I would share now that enough time for mourning has passed.;) This was a different one from the one in my signature. So for a little while I was 4_z28Camaro.:D We picked this thing up for $550.00 in early December.

    It started out as this:

Then its guts got ripped out:

Yes, those are seat belts wrapped around the exhaust manifolds to get the engine and transmission out. Even with the nose cut off access was still difficult.

It almost found a new life as a convertible:

The reciprocating saw ate away at its body:

All that is left now of a once proud 1994 Z28:

The pile is smaller now that a large hunk of metal has been thrown in the garbage each week since December.

    :p :bowtie:

We did the same thing back in high school with an old station wagon. First it was just beat on by us and anything we could find around the auto shop. then the teacher had us chop the car up a section at a time and throw it in the dumpster each week.

Why did you throw it away? A scrapyard would gladly take , maybe even pick up the whole car for you. Seems like a lot of energy and time spent to throw away something with scrap value. Just my .02

Think of it as organ donation.

Giving the gift of life from death.

I have to do that to a 67 Camaro I have at a friends house.. its gonna hurt to do that to it .. but its too far gone .. believe me .

did you spare any parts from that 94.. I see in that scrap pile you left the seat belt locks still in there.. what about the plastic hard dash .. was it cracked usually they crack and people look for those. Was the steering wheel leather.. too many questions here for you .. I have a 93 I dont need any parts but extra is always good. I do need one good Salad shooter Rim . I see one in your picture .. hint hint .. lol
