Disc Brake Conversion

I was looking through the brake/suspension stickies the other night and found the 1LE front brake rotor coversion and the S-10 rear disc brake conversion. Is anybody still doing these conversions or are the obsolete old technology. Just curious as I was thinking about making the upgrade, or is there something new guys are using instead?
Thanks

The Right Stuff also makes a rear disc brake conversion kit that uses late 80's Cadillac parts. I have it, it will fit 15" wheels, but it's really not a performance upgrade. If you're staying with 15" wheels, stay with drum brakes with performance frictions.

I used the right stuff disc brake conversion. Disc brakes are an upgrade from drum, better stopping and cooling, less parts, easier to work on.

I’m keeping the stock 15 inch Z wheels. I have no plans to change them. No need to.
Save yourself some money and spend it on something other than disc brakes. GM engineered the brake package to match the weight, tire/wheel, suspension, etc, on that car. Unless you are upgrading to a larger tire/wheel combination which can effectively use the extra stopping power, you're good with what you have. Just use good parts.

This is probable the best advice. I saw the wright up and thought this would be a nice little project but not necessarily needed.
Thanks
