DIY engine dolly?

Alright, so here's what I came up with:

Put me in line for those too. I had on of the cheapie ones, it sat too low. I did fire an engine on it but the headers burned the paint off. Oops. I don't think it would take much to get yours into a test stand. Old tach and a cheap set of sunpro gauges.

Thanks guys, yeah it is real solid. 77nomad, I do plan on using it as a test stand. i'll just take the casters off and bolt it up to a couple lengths of c-channel.

When I get a chance I'll draw something up and try to get it on here. It was a good project, real happy with the way it came out.. might even powder coat it lol.

Heres the basic dimensions, sorry for the crappy cell phone pic. I left the back pretty open for the flywheel. i will also be making a guage/ign panel for it as well as a bolt-on radiator apparatus of some sort.

And here is my roommate taking it for a test drive.

heres a few pics of mine i still need to put wheels on it, i made it last weekend to get my buddys engine home from my house..
i put motor mounts on it to make it into a test stand ..
