Do springs actually settle?

[1978 Z/28]

I have put about 7 km or about 4 miles on my camaro at less than 40km or 25mph. I like the look of the back but the front is a high. Will the front settle or is that an old wives tale. From centre of wheel to lip of fender 16 inches both sides.
I would like the front down about 1 1/2 inches. I will drive it like this for this year

I was asking about the front coil springs

My Moog front springs settled in an inch or more by 300 miles or so. I would take it out as often as possible to get them settled in. I took mine out on 50 mile drives on different road surfaces. Especially windy roads.

I live in Grand Bay-Westfield NB and my son, daughter in law and grandson live in Fredericton about 60 miles by high way. There are 2 windy hilly roads my wife and I can take, one is the St. John river road which follows the river the other is through old farm land. Would be a scenic drive about 150 miles

I put new springs in my 88 and they didn't drop any that I could see in 6 months or so, I cut a half coil off and got it right. The did sag a little over the years afterward though, looked maybe a bit better with the front down a bit.

The springs I got from PTFB have not settled a bit.
