Ive been getting quite a few people coming up to me or leaving notes on my windshield, asking how much i want or asking if i want to trade for the camaro.

Does this happen to anyone else? i need some encouragment to keep it. it aint like the thing is some beauty queen. its got horrible paint and needs a lil bit of work still. i dont get it. why is this happening. i guess i should be flattered? im feeling like the hassle with the car would end if i did, but i also know my family (where its been) might get hurt feelings.

What that tells me is people realize the 2nd Gens (especially the later ones) are becoming collectable and they see yours as a good candidate to restore.

    Good sign actually...

i owned my car for about 5 hours before i got the first "is it for sale?".
since then i've had many people ask. and what I do is say everythings for sale and state some stupid price. maybe one day i'll get lucky and someone will say ok ;)

those in the know prolly figure the 70-73's are already untouchable...plus all the mags recently have covered "affordable" project cars...and the rubber-nosers are the hot flavor of the day.

i get people wandering into my yard and ringing the bell all the time for my 81Z....one kid walked out in front of my wife while she was backing out of the driveway to ask her about it.

sometimes i play along and tell them to make me an offer...they usually come in around 1500 or less...it's probably a lot of money to them but i don't consider that to be a serious offer...i let them know that I have more than that into the transmission alone...they then proceed to give me that "deer in the headlights look"......the car is older than most of the kids that come by to try and buy it.

it's not for sale anyhow...as i know it will be difficult for me to find another one.

I got an offer to buy it a few years ago. Nicely declined.

But the way my 79z has been acting lately I would skip to the bank with the money lol.
