door speaker install 70

    Getting ready to install some speakers in the door panels. Have not checked this out totally yet, and may be a dumb question, but are there any tricks to keeping the wires from getting pinched in the door? Maybe some sort of flexible conduit...

    Yes... Doors with power windows were equipped with a flexible "boot" which was fitted to a hole in the door and door frame of the body.

    They look like this.

    Here is something I found. I am unclear though where the best place is to mount them. Hard to tell where the most room is when the door is shut and/or which way it will flex. Anyone have a picture or description of where to mount them? There has never been any wires routed to my door before, so no history to go by...
