I have a dji mini pro 3 I bought for work. Seems pretty good for what I do with it (roof insoections). The China part is unfortunate though.

Nearly ALL drones are coming out of China these days. DJI makes some of the best out there BUT still from China. EXO makes decent drones and is based in Utah. I have an EXO drone but haven't had much time to fly it - seems good so far! FYI I am a FAA licensed drone pilot.
Had never heard of this brand, they look interesting.

Is voyeurism, snooping and / or eavesdropping OK ?
Is it OK to disregard others' reasonable expectations of privacy ?
Is it OK to always do as one pleases; so long as one doesn't violate laws ?
Just me curiously prying: do you inspect roofs Prior to (any potential) customers' RFQ --- or After customers' RFQ --- or Both?

Awesome. Thanks Lars. Would like to keep things domestic if possible.

Dunno 'bout others' opinions, but I take issue with privateer drone / manned or unmanned aircraft operators photographing private real estate (and persons / activities thereon) without express written permission from properties' owners --- serious issue. Manned aircraft have visible tail numbers and can be dealt with in-person--- the others, not so much.
Oh I'm 100% with you SL. I am one of 3 properties on the water-access side of a lake, and my closest neighbour is probably 5 miles away thru the bush.

I know how I would feel if someone flew a camera over my property, and I have no interest in doing that to anyone else.

Any unmanned camera over my property better be able to ward off a 12 gauge.

Y'all are worried about airborne voyeurs, but what about a next-door neighbor who might install a security camera which might also have a wide-angle lens which "looks" into your back yard (secondarily), plus the neighbor's back yard (primarily)? With an 8' privacy fence between the properties.

NOT to forget cell phone tracking, license plate readers, and municipal security cameras?

"Privacy" is not quite like it used to be, everywhere.

Do you know any realtors? Drones are in high use these days to sell homes and properties. May be a cheaper way to go instead of buying one. Or set up a small business!!!

Damn, I have too much on my plate as it is! Good idea with the realtor, but I'd like one to keep out there (a drone, not a realtor) so I can plan and map trails and survey spots for a couple of bunkies I want to build.
