Has anybody used the long version (18" body/23.12" overall) Dynomax Bullets with tailpipes? All the sound clips I can find only have them turned down at the axle. I'm wondering how they would sound with a full exhaust system to the rear bumper.

They are to long for a tail pipe over the diff. You need a 14" body if you want tail pipes.

I've never seen a pair of bullets on a car with tail pipes, ever, on any car. I just don't think it happens. It's like seeing someone with a mullet drinking a glass of wine. :)

I was going to have them mounted between the gas tank and differential in the position of a crossflow muffler. The 80 series Flowmaster that's on it now is 24 inches long. I'm going to use a mandrel bent prefab kit, but my own muffler setup.

I have Walker bullets on the Camaro and they are loud, only drop 5db from being open. You can run pipes right after them but as I found out last year my 3" exhaust with the x-pipe is more efficient, you just have to tune the engine right for both sets to work.

I have an old pair of Walker louvered bullets on my car with full length exhaust out the rear and headers. The system is very mellow. You hear it only under acceleration. When cruising, you wouldn't believe it has glasspacks.

Had a set of dynomax bullets years ago. Hated them with a passion.
Open headers were only slightly louder.
Crazy deal. I took the car back to the muffler shop and the guy there said he’d trade me a set of super turbos off his car for the bullets.
And hour later the super turbos were on.

Did you have an X pipe and tailpipes with them?
