    Eh, I'm thinking typo since his other stuff seems reasonably priced. This appears to be an anomaly.

    No. Just that the seller thinks it's worth that much because it's NOS, LOL. Judging by the prices of their other items at fair prices, this is a typo.

    $1625!! that is a lot for a set of original valve covers... they are pretty nice though!
    Pretty much everyone nowadays uses the really nice reproduction covers from Crane's Corvette's, though they are about $500, IIRC.
