If anyone alive thinks that donated blood isn't tested, they should read up on the subject.

anyone who has aids would not survive Ebola, so yes.... I would refuse.

Ebola is FAST. Its going to kill you quick or it is not.

Compared to Alzheimers, I would take Ebola any day of the week, although I would probably kill myself in the early stages of Alzheimers.

What one of my relatives went through after getting a botched OUTPATIENT procedure, which after five months in the hospital did end in DEATH, makes Ebola look EASY(have to be vague, we filed a lawsuit).

There ARE fates much worse than death, and there are big differences between living and existing. Having my guts bleed out over the course of a couple days is MUCH BETTER than being strapped to a bed for years, having to be turned by someone to avoid bedsores, and hooked up to a bunch of tubes for years on end

Id like for my kids to grow old and die of alzheimers rather than die young and quick from the Ebola they caught from the nurse who was looking after the Ebola patient a few weeks ago.

I mean come on..REALLY? This is your argument? We are all better off dying from Ebola than other things?

    Simmer down, gentlemen.
Someone is finally thinking with some sense-

    http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2014/10/17/texas-ebola-health-care-workers-travel-ban/17424465/

Those with direct, sustained contact with Duncan while he was in his "fluid" phase are, no doubt, a risk, as has been proven twice now.

This aspect is something we can control, much more easily than a blanket travel ban, IMO. My Ethiopian friend at work explained to me how it's pretty easy to get a fake passport from another country in Africa- one not on the list. Never mind that as of right now, we know of exactly ONE infected Ebola patient (Duncan) that has come here uninvited from the entire area (containing upwards of 250million+ people).

Cleaned up. ;) This is the kinder gentler nastyz28. There is no place for hateful belittling rhetoric. Interesting discussion for the most part so far.
